First results from Forum BioEntrepreneur 2011

The stock of the situation some days after the event.

Enterprise Europe Brussels at BEA and the Brussels LifeTech Cluster have designed, prepared and carried out a company mission held in Paris last December 6th.

This initiative has been developed in collaboration with Enterprise Europe Wallonia and Enterprise Europe Paris.

The Brussels-based group consisted of:

12 entreprises
1 cluster
1 university

The initiative was multi- purpose:

1. Valorise Brussels-based technical expertise and potential in R&I
2. Provide visibility of the companies belonging to the Brussels LifeTech Cluster
3. Facilitate transnational medium-long term technical and R&I collaboration with the Paris-based cluster « Centrale Santé » and with the hospitals of that region

French and Belgian key players and experts animated the morning conference; in the afternoon, they left the floor to pre-arranged B2B meetings, enabling Brussels-based companies to discuss and evaluate collaboration opportunities.  87 meetings out of 197 were organised for the companies of our region.

The first outputs are extremely positive: signatures of collaborations between French and Brussels-based companies are then expected.
