Apply for the SME Call to accelerate the commercialisation of your products and services with the support of an EIT Raw Material partner
The EIT Raw Materials is linked and funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an EU body funded by Horizon 2020. This major consortium brings together more than 120 partners in the raw materials sector. It aims to ensure the accessibility, availability and sustainable use of metal and mineral raw materials for the economy and citizens. For more information about the EIT Raw materials, you can read NCPs CaRE useful guide.
On top of its recurrent calls, the EIT Raw Material has launched a new call targeting SMEs (lead partner) which are not yet in the EIT Raw Materials but which would become part of it through a project with an existing Core or Associate Partner of the EIT (coordinating Partner). The deadline is 6th May 2020.
The call aims to help SMEs to boost and accelerate the launch on the market of new products in a relatively short time to market. The project must fit under one of the 3 value chains identified as priority for the EIT : EIT RawMaterials Lighthouses on Sustainable Discovery and Supply, Sustainable Materials for Future Mobility, Raw Materials and Circular Societies.
Projects could receive up to 350 000 €, though some capping apply per partner and per year. There is a minimum mandatory cofinancing of 30% as usual under Horizon 2020 for for-profit innovation activities. Moreover, the project partners will discuss with the EIT Raw Materials how they will contribute to the EIT Raw Materials through a financial backflow in case of success.
