In Algemeen

When the European Union concludes a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with a partner country, its exporters can benefit from reduced duty (or duty-free) treatment when exporting to that country. In order to qualify for this preferential treatment, the product must originate from an FTA party, in other words, it must fulfil all the rules of origin criteria set by that FTA. The objective of this survey is to evaluate how informed EU companies are when it comes to the rules of origin criteria linked to the advantages of the preferential treatment and what are the difficulties EU exporters face when exporting under such preferences.

The questionnaire is anonymous. However, if you would like to leave your contact details to allow us to possible contact you for further opinion in the future, you will have the possibility to do so at the end of the questionnaire. The European Commission does not intend to publish individual responses but will treat the information that you provide as confidential.

It will take you about 10-15 minutes to reply to the questions. The questionnaire will be available online until 31 July 2018.
