Last year, Enterprise Europe Brussels published on one of its pages an article dedicated to the 14 industrial ecosystems.
The European Commission has identified them as pillars of the industrial strategy that would support the twin transition to a green and digital economy.
All these sectors participate in the transformation to a more sustainable, digital, resilient and globally competitive European economy.
With the objective of visualising the progress of the green and digital transition across the different industrial ecosystems at EU-wide level, the European Monitor of Industrial Ecosystems (EMI) has developped a data dashboard
The data dashboard offers an overview of the data collected for several indicators used to measure the progress of the green and digital transitions on a yearly basis. This dashboard is built around data under 3 dimensions of the twin transition:
- impact,
- efforts,
- enabling framework conditions.
More in particular:
- the IMPACT dimension measures the outcomes of the transition across industrial ecosystems. Currently, it includes indicators for environmental impact, highlighting the changes and benefits resulting from the transition
- the transition EFFORTS dimension is related to the initiatives and investments made by each industrial ecosystem to adopt and promote green and digital technologies. It covers technology adoption rates, start-up and scale-up trends, and financial investments to drive the twin transition
- finally, the ENABLING FRAMEWORK CONDITIONS dimension assesses the support structures and resources available to foster the green and digital transition. It includes the availability of funding, skills, and public funding that create a conducive environment for the transition
