Do you want to replace hazardous substances in your products? Are you looking for financial support? In this case, apply for the 3rd Belgium Builds Back Circular (BBBC) call for projects!
The federal government wants to accelerate the phase-out of hazardous substances. The aim of this call is to facilitate the substitution of chemicals of concern with sustainable and safe alternatives in order to encourage the transition to a circular economy in Belgium. Three groups of priority substances of concern have been identified for Belgium:
- PFAS (perfluoroalkylated and polyfluoroalkylated substances)
- Endocrine disruptors

How much can you get if you apply to the Belgium Builds Back Circular call?
The funding granted per project amounts to a minimum amount of €50,000 and a maximum of €2,000,000 per project.
For whom?
- organizations or consortia – Belgian or active on Belgian territory – in particular companies, with particular attention to SMEs
- public or private research centers, to research centers attached to universities or colleges
- start-ups, NGOs, consulting firms, and similar institutions
