In General, Sustainability

The International Transport Forum published a report that examines the potential of novel fuels in order to decarbonise aviation and maritime shipping.

If you are involved in either, the full report should be of interest to you and it is accessible here.

Several fuels can be produced from renewable sources and deployed in an easier way than other merging low- and zero-carbon technologies. However, uncertainties (regarding cost, infrastructure needs, operational requirements and health impacts) exist in order to scale up their use. This publication reviews the latest understanding of the production and use of novel fuels in the shipping and aviation sectors and highlights the policy requirements needed to accelerate their adoption. In this report, you will find several recommendations for our governments as well.
