Are you developing a solution that uses data for the patient self-management of chronic deseases?

Comprehensive Treatment of Chronic Patients in Rural Areas (CRANE) PCP (Pre-Commercial Procurement) research project aims to use the potential of data to develop a technical solution to improve chronic patient’s wellbeing. The CRANE solution aims to make the citizens entire public and personal health data automatically accessible and provides through intelligent technologies new smart and tailored insight providing the citizen with open and trustworthy control of their own data and its use.

They are now launching the Phase 1 of their €4,65M Digital Health Solutions Public Tender. Deadline is 6 November.

They expect to procure from bidders to develop and/or integrate
1) an open and interoperable platform hosting CRANE core services;
2) secure health data management through a virtual data-lake;
3) a solution for management of informed consent and building trust;
4) services for self-management of three selected chronic conditions;
5) evidence-backed services for adherence, engagement and motivation.

CRANE procurement will be implemented as a 3-phases competition where PCP contracts are assigned under the supervision of the buyers’ group. Phase 1: five bidders with a 50,000€ budget each for the development of a feasibility study. Phase 2: three selected proposals from Phase 1 will get 500,000€ each to develop a prototype. Phase 3: two suppliers from Phase 2 with 1,45M€ each for a Pilot Validation.
