Entreprise Europe Brussels is delighted to invite Brussels-based entities taking part in the Smart Cities Challenges 2023, held around the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona on 07-09 November, 2023.
The upcoming edition is rich of opportunities ! The matchmaking event is built around 2 fully online networking days, on 2nd and 3rd November 2023.
The idea is that the (online) meetings, B2B and B2G, may set themselves physical meetings during the expo days, 7th-9th November.
This year, the onsite meetings between the demand and the supply sides (around the challenges presented) will take place at the Catalonia Stand.
What are we proposing as challenges/activities?
5 challenges/activities!
- Open Innovation Challenges : On 7-8/Nov., Catalonia stand will match demands for innovative solutions with top potential suppliers. Cities/regions and corporations will benefit from this key matchmaking, spotting solutions for their needs. Consult HERE the challenges and see if you can solve them !!
- Open Innovation PLWFK : On 8/Nov., the Central Agora will host this pitch session: public entities presenting demands of Open Innovation Procurement; i.e. about to be tendered projects that lack a clear market solution!
- City Challenges Workshops: On 9/Nov., the Catalonia stand will host cities/ regions and private integrators in 2-3 thematic sessions, around topics such as mobility, energy, security, matching them with top-notch European
solutions, after a thorough scouting process! DEADLINE for Challenge owners extended to 22/Sept! - City Challenges Pitch : Following the 2022 edition, in partnership with the Smart Cities Marketplace, cities/regions will be presenting their upcoming plans in the Central Agora, interacting with the market to gain more efficiency
and effectiveness in their supply of public services. DEADLINE for Challenge owners extended to 22/Sept! - Urban Transition Challenge : On 8/Nov., managed by the EU’s Smart Cities Marketplace, it aims at identifying cities, consortia, and investors, in need of support to accelerate and finance their smart and sustainable projects. Successful applicants are eligible to 1-to-1 consultancy, technical assistance; facilitated access to funding and financing opportunities, and/or; peer2peer exchanges, from and with SCM experts. Online sessions pre and post the in-person workshop
