In General

The European Single Market was created 30 years ago.  This has greatly facilitated export beyond the borders of European countries and has multiplied growth opportunities for Brussels entrepreneurs. Although it is a rather technical subject, it cannot be overemphasised on its importance.

However, doing business with other European countries is not always easy due to increased regulations and unilateral trade barriers. This also puts a brake on business growth.

In next year’s European elections, Europe’s competitiveness as a continent will be highlighted. The Single Market is an essential element of this. That is why BECI with the support of Enterprise Europe Brussels is co-organising this European survey to identify the main obstacles to the internal market for companies.

This survey is organised only once every 5 years and is therefore exceptional.  It is useful for the European Commission, which often refers to it, but also for defending the interests of companies at European level.

Answering the survey does not take more than 10 minutes and is accessible via the following link: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/ECHSMSurvey2023

The deadline for responding to the survey is extended to Wednesday 15 November. You can access the survey via the link and change the language in the right column.

We are already looking forward to the results.
