Are you an SME working on  textile, clothing, leather and footwear   ? Check out the opportunity provided by the ELIIT programme with deadline 14 April 2021.

Funded by the COSME programme, the European light industries innovation and technology (ELIIT) project aims to bolster SMEs’ competitiveness in the textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries (TCLF).

The project just launched a second and last call for project with deadline 14 April 2021.

The objective of the Call is to support the implementation of technology transfer partnership projects between SMEs active in the TCLF industries and technologybproviders/owners. In particular, ELIIT will support partnership projects that propose the implementation, application and use of disruptive and innovative technological solutions that can enable new and advanced technical capabilities for the performance of the beneficiary SMEs. ELIIT will support European cooperation for the use of technology-ready solutions (TRL 7 or higher) to improve productivity, value chain integration, resource efficiency and to create new high added-value products and services.

Technology providers/owners include a variety of organizations such as Technology and Innovation Centres, Universities, Research Centres and Corporates, SMEs and start-ups.

ELIIT will support 10 new partnerships between SMEs and providers or owners of novel technologies  with €70.000, a coaching program and networking activities to improve productivity, value chain integration and resource efficiency (a concept related to circular economy).

Examples of ongoing funded partnerships can be found on the ELIIT website for inspiration.

The focus is not explicitely on circular economy but this can be an issue under resource efficiency. Key for the partnership is to focus on the transfert of disruptive technologies which can come from other sectors. Check out the guide for the applicants before applying.
