In Grow internationally, Innovation

Fraport AG is one of the leading players in the global airport business. They offer a wide range of operational and management solutions based on over 95 years of aviation expertise. Fraport’s portfolio of companies spans four continents with activities at 31 airports worldwide. At its Frankfurt Airport (FRA) home base, Fraport welcomed more than 70.5 million passengers and handled 2.1 million metric tons of cargo (airfreight and airmail) in 2019.

What is the Digital Factory?

Fraport’s Digital Factory is a virtual organizational unit within Fraport comprising digitalization and technical specialists. It was established as an internal solution partner to support Fraport business units with a specific task or problem.

One aim of the Digital Factory is to identify market innovations early on and facilitate the implementation of compelling digital solutions for Fraport.

With such a purpose, in 2022, they launched the Open Pitch Day. It was a successful event which paved the way to the current edition. The Open Pitch Day event will now be held biannually.

Open Pitch Day 2023

The goal of the event is to scout out innovative ideas on the market in their early stages and to pave the way for these promising solutions to be used by Fraport AG. This time, they are looking for pioneering ideas, technologies and business models to create the airport of the future.

These may be technological solutions for internal processes or for the customer processes along the customer journey.

Here’s how it works

To participate in the next Open Pitch Day, simply fill out the registration form available HERE by 01/12/2023 the every latest to briefly describe the technology you would like to present at Open Pitch Day

1.Each participant will give a ten-minute presentation of their concept, followed by feedback and questions. The goal of the pre-pitch round is to determine whether the company and its technology are a good fit for Fraport.

2. Participants who make it through this round will receive an invitation to one of the Open Pitch Days and can present their idea in the final selection round.

3. After the final assessment, the winning technologies will begin a project with Fraport AG’s Digital Factory.
