What is the Digital Factory?

Fraport’s Digital Factory is a virtual organizational unit within Fraport comprising digitalization and technical specialists. It was established as an internal solution partner to support Fraport business units with a specific task or problem.

One aim of the Digital Factory is to identify market innovations early on and facilitate the implementation of compelling digital solutions for Fraport.

With such a purpose, in 2022, they launched the Open Pitch Day. It was a successful event which paved the way to the current edition. The Open Pitch Day event will now be held biannually.

Open Pitch Day 2023

The goal of the event is to scout out innovative ideas on the market in their early stages and to pave the way for these promising solutions to be used by Fraport AG. This time, they are looking for pioneering ideas, technologies and business models to create the airport of the future.

These may be technological solutions for internal processes or for the customer processes along the customer journey.

Here’s how it works

To participate in the next Open Pitch Day, simply fill out the registration form available HERE by 01/12/2023 the every latest to briefly describe the technology you would like to present at Open Pitch Day

R&I related public consultation on dual-use technologies

The overall objective of this White Paper is to explore options to improve the integration and cross-fertilisation of civil and defence technologies in the European industry. It will do this by pursuing the better use and exploitation of project results and identifying actions to allow, where applicable, dual-use results from civil R&D activities for defence applications and from defence R&D activities for civil applications.
